The foot soldiers of the Communist Manifesto’s 8th Plank have not been hit this hard since “Right To Work” laws swept the nation.
In a 5-4 decision Wednesday, the Supreme Court ruled in the Janus case.
The justices struck down an Illinois law that required non-union workers to pay fees that go to collective bargaining and overturned a 1977 law that required employees to pay so-called “fair share” fees.
Justice Samuel Alito authored the majority opinion, in which he stated:
“It is hard to estimate how many billions of dollars have been taken from nonmembers and transferred to public-sector unions in violation of the First Amendment. Those unconstitutional exactions cannot be allowed to continue indefinitely.”
Justice/Commissar Elena Kagan took the nuclear option, by reading her dissent from the bench.
For those with short memories, she was the Obama appointee with zero legal experience other than being admitted to the BAR 3 years prior.
The qualifications Obama was looking for, were strong ties to the Democratic Socialists of America and Communist Party USA.
In that sense Kagan is extremely qualified. She is also a lifelong supporter of the collectivist foot soldiers known as the “Labor Movement”.
At Princeton, Elena Kagan won a fellowship to Oxford University, in England, where she studied “the history of British and European trade unionism.”
The decision is being heralded as the beginning of the end of union power in politics. The impact of this victory for the liberty movement and the economy cannot be understated.
The global labor movement has been one of the most effective Marxist weapons in their arsenal. It allowed them access to massive funding coerced from people with a myriad of schemes like the one thrown into history’s dust bin Wednesday.
Marx and Engles considered unions to be essential to the success of spreading Communism.
In 1865 Marx explained his worldview, that wage levels can only be “settled by the continuous struggle between capital and labor, the capitalist constantly tending to reduce wages to their physical minimum, and to extend the working day to its physical maximum, while the working man constantly presses in the opposite direction.”
Unions are the 8th Plank’s “Industrial Armies”, warring to bring about this class warfare essential to the success of Socialism.
